The Duke Mansion was built in 1915 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Mr. Duke?s most lasting legacies including Duke Energy, Duke University and The Duke Endowment took shape while he lived in the home. A gorgeous example of Colonial Revival architecture, at 32,000 square feet it is one of the largest private homes. Most rooms have queen or king sized beds, all have private baths, exquisite linens, luxurious robes.
